Full Service Car Washes
A full service car wash will combine an automatic style system (such as a Tunnel Wash system) coupled with employees to provide the customer a full interior and exterior car wash. Typically the customer will exit their car prior to the actual wash and wait in a waiting room or area. An attendant will assist the customer with choosing the desired wash package and initiate the wash cycle for the customer.
Often before the vehicle even enters the car wash system itself an attendant will remove excessive dirt with a spray or brush, apply a cleaner to wheels and rims, vacuum and remove obvious trash from the interior of the car, ensure that all windows and sun/moon roofs are tightly closed, mirrors on larger vehicles are turned in and more.
Once the vehicle is ready for the automatic step of the wash cycle the employee will drive the vehicle into the system, place it in neutral and then leave the car to assist the next customer. The automatic Tunnel Wash system will then move the vehicle through all the washing stations.
As the vehicle exits the end of the tunnel car wash another attendant will o drive the vehicle to a drying and cleaning area. Here the attendant can provide a number of services depending on the wash package purchased by the customer such as hand dry the car, wash the windows inside and out with a glass cleaner, clean and polish the tires, rims and hubcaps, readjust the mirrors, apply an air freshener, and so on.
The Full Service car wash provides many opportunities to provide exceptional customer service to your car wash customers. While the customers’ vehicle is proceeding through the wash procedure there is a fantastic opportunity to offer up-sells and additional services. Often the waiting area will offer snacks and drinks for sale as well as impulse purchase items that may be of interest.
